Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met driver/guide and transferred by a Van to your Casablanca hotel, where you will check in and freshen up from travels. Visit the Jewish Museum in the afternoon if you would like. Dinner will served in your accommodation.
After breakfast, you start your exploration of the Great Hassan II Mosque and any other areas of interest in Casablanca before making a short drive to Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King. After lunch on your own, a visit to the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum, Gate of the King's Palace and the Kasbah of Oudayas. Dinner will be served in the Riad / Hotel.
After breakfast, you will set off to Meknes, one of the Imperial cities of Morocco. You will enjoy a tour of this of this beautiful interesting city. You will then move on to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you spend 1:30 mnts exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. From Volubilis you will finish your journey to Fez. Your lunch will be included. In the late afternoon, you will have your first cooking class. Wandering down the small alleys into the medina of Fez. You will learn to prepare some of Morocco's finest foods. Dinner based on your efforts and Overnight at Riad.
After breakfast, the whole day is devoted to discover the ancient walled city of Fez -- one of the largest cities in the world. A guided tour to explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruits,heaps of spices, intricately carved doors and arches and many other artistic objects of Morocco. A visit to the King's Palace, the Tanneries, and the potters sections. After winding your way deeply into the medina, you will get to have lunch at one of the best restaurant in Fez ( not included). After lunch, you will complete the tour and return to your Hotel for a comfortable evening. Dinner will be served in the Riad.
After a traditional breakfast in your Riad, you will have a full day cooking experience in Fez. you will start your day by visiting the local daily market of vegetables to purchase the necessary ingriedients for the day's meal. Your instructor will then take you back to the house/ Riad, where you will learn the classical cooking Art of Fez. Not only will learn to cook, you will get to eat this lovely meal that you have prepared. Dinner will be served in one of the local restaurants of the medina. Overnight at the Riad.
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Marrakesh. The beautiful drive will take you up into the middle Atlas Mounatins and along the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakesh, you will check into your hotel and then head off to the Jemaa El-Fna, the center of the Medina. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbecue pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of mint tea on the terrace of an adjacent cafe provides a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Dinner will be served at the Riad. Overnight at Riad.
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Marrakesh, the southern jewel of Morocco. You will discover the Majorel garden, the Bahia palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and return again to the Jemaa el-Fna. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the Souk ( marketplace) of Marrakesh. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant or near the big square. Overnight at the Riad.
After a traditional breakfast in the Riad, you will head out of Marrakesh ( 1.5 hrs) to a small Berber village where you will learn to cook as the Berbers do. Whether you are learning to bake bread in a clay oven, cooking tagine over a charcoal fire, or brewing mint tea, this experience is nothing like you have ever done before. Back to the basics of cooking! Your lunch is based on your efforts and after you will return to Marrakesh for the night. Dinner will be served in the Riad. Overnight at Riad.
After breakfast, you will set off to the coastal city of Essaouira, a picturesque fishing town, lying on the southwest coast of Morocco. With an exquisite beach to the south, Essaouira has become one of Morocco's most popular coastal towns. Many of the countries wood carvers and artists make Essaouira their home. In the afternoon, you will have your final cooking class experience -- learning another wonderful Moroccan meal. Lunch is based on your efforts. Dinner will be served in the Riad. Overnight at Riad.
After breakfast, your last day of travel will take you back to Casablanca. So, you will leave Essaouira for Casablanca with a stop at El Oualidia on the way. We drive along the coastline to El Jadida where we visit the citadel and see the underground cistern. We continue on to Casablanca, where you spend last night in the country. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, you will be transferred at the appropriate time to the airport for your departure.
