DAY 1: TANGER PORT – CHEFCHAOUEN

Upon your arrival, we will meet you in the port of Tanger Med and start your 8 Days Morocco Desert Tour From Tangier to Marrakech by driving through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city to enjoy beautiful landscapes till you reach chefchaouen; one of the stunning villages in the foot of the Rif mountains with a medina having a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants and cafes where you will spend you night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature. DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

Start your authentic journey towards the 2000 year-old ancient Roman Ruins of Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages, in volubilis you will be guided to learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history, after you will shift your way to Meknes; a 17th century heritage site where you will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab Mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After the visit of Meknes, we will continue driving directly to Fes city where you will spend the night. Overnight in a Riad/ Hotel.

DAY 3: FES EXPLORATION

Begin exploring the oldest imperial city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts with visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarters and first Mellah ever built in Morocco during the 16th century. Be sure that your visit is devoted to the sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University – the oldest in the world, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, a visit to the new city “La Ville nouvelle” for a drink. Overnight in Hotel/Riad.

DAY 4: FES – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA – CAMEL SAFARI

On the 4th day of your 8 Days Morocco Desert Tour From Tangier to Marrakech we will leave for Merzouga via Ifrane (Switzerland city of Morocco), Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be travelling through the fascinating city of Midelt , where you will have lunch and taste Berber warm hospitality. Then you continue you way through Tiz- n-talghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, admiring views of the High Atlas plateau; you will notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia Afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you start your camel ride to the highest sand dune in Morocco to see one of the best sunsets in your life. This trek will be guided by an experienced camel man. Dinner is in a Bivouac in front of the tent where you will spend the night (the camp is equipped with flush-toilets and shower).

DAY 5: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

Wake up early to watch the best sunrise of your life. Then, you peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. En-route you will not fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast, you leave for Rissani, Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge you’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley. Overnight in Hotel/Riad.

DAY 6: DADES VALLEY– AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. You will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over before continuing onto the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – the largest Kasbah in Morocco. The Kasbah was built by Glaoui family, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century. It is now a house of many Glaoui people. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi-n-tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech. Overnight in Hotel/Riad.

DAY 7: MARRAKECH EXPLORATION
